J24 Class District 8

J24 District 8 Members Midlands Regatta 2007

There were four boats traveling to the regatta from their home turf, to bring the total of J24s to 9 and were one of the larger One Design fleets participating in this regatta. The travelers were: Jim Farmer (Party Reptile), Mike Carney (Irish Wake), Mike Stewart (Breeze), and Rob Whitley (Wild Card).

The weather was great and the temperatures were mild while a high pressure system moved in. The first day of racing had winds that were relatively steady at 8-10. The second day of racing was a bit more light and shifty. The scores were as follows:

A good time was had by all and we all need to offer input to where we want to meet and race for the rest of the year.

The Carolina Keelboat and One-Design Regatta will be held on Lake Norman this weekend. Do we have any travelers for this regatta?

I have heard that we have several travelers going to the Kings Day Regatta in Jacksonville, FL at the Florida Yacht Club. Jim Farmer (Party Reptile), Mike Carney (Irish Wake), Mike Stewart (Breeze), and Rob Whitley (Wild Card), and Roger Dougal (Tutakrnaut) are planning to go.
